Covid Long Allergic Reaction
(ceeport)
Aloha! :) I am writing this blog with the intent to share things that have been helping me with Covid Long Haulers. I got Covid in January 2021. It lasted about a month or so and then seemingly disappeared, although the tiredness seems to stick around on and off. One morning in the beginning of June 2021, I woke up to a very hot humid morning and very red itchy cheeks and eyes. The next day, my face swelled to twice it's size and then it started to weep. It's hard to believe the pictures above are the same person. Sharing this picture is definitely embarrassing and humbling, but it's good also for everyone to be able to see the difference. I was completely miserable for about two months when finally I decided to change my diet. I had tried just about everything else I could think of, so I figured I had nothing to lose.
After one week on my new diet, my face swelling completely disappeared and things started to get better. It has now been about a month and not all my symptoms disappeared but they have all downgraded and I am feeling a lot better. The inflammation on my face seems like it is receding. My brain fog has cleared up a lot. I have a lot more energy, although I still have an ongoing tiredness that has not gone away. After my face had swollen in June, I turned the a/c way up and the people in my house were all getting chilly. Recently, my body has stopped running so hot and I am feeling a lot more normal temperature wise. The people in my house are very happy about this because they won't have to be chilly anymore.
I am writing this blog to share the many foods that have been helping me to reduce my symptoms in hopes that many other people who have Covid-19 (Covid 19, Coronavirus) or Long Covid (Covid Long, Covid Long Haulers, Covid Longhaulers) will be able to reduce their symptoms as well. I am not a medical doctor and am therefore not able to give any medical advise. Please see your doctor for medical advise. I am simply sharing foods that have helped me with the inflammatory histamine response caused by the virus or post virus. I am an amateur cook and a bit clumsy but if you can look past that, I think you will find that you will enjoy the foods I am making. I hope that, you too, will be able to reduce the inflammation in your body and find some relief.
